LIVIANA 2026 - Keynotes Announced

The keynote speakers for the seventh Community Economies Research Network (CERN) international LIVIANA online conference (Monday 2 to Friday 13 November) have been announced.

The first keynote "The transformative potential of Indigenous economic practices" will be presented on Monday 2 November by Matthew Scobie (Kāi Tahu), Georgia McLellan (Whakatōhea & Ngāi Te Rangi) and Jack Barrett (Ngāpuhi). 

The second keynote "Transgenerational and transgeographical commoning and learning: Ongoing healing practices and ethical frames /  Aprendizajes transgeneracionales y transgeográficos. Marcos éticos en práctica(s)" will be presented on Monday 9 November by Ana Inés Heras (presented in English with Spanish translation).

LIVIANA is a decentralised series of exchanges and symposia that runs for two weeks each November, providing an opportunity for CERN members to connect and share. All sessions are free. 

The event is based on the sense of openness, free-floating train of thought, and cheerful spirit that the Spanish term liviana connotes.
